The Spring Concert is over. Tomorrow is Mara’s last day of teaching elementary music at the Greater Lisbon Christian Academy. Yesterday, she announced to her classes that she won’t be back in the fall. Tears flowed from young eyes. Today a parent stopped Mara to ask her how it was that she managed to get young students (like this woman’s daughter) to love opera. Mara just has a way of being infectious. She taught kids to love music and to love singing to God. And now another chapter has closed. We anxiously wait to see what God has next.
PS – Andy got in the action the last two weeks of school and taught a couple science classes. He convinced his students to wear goggles by telling them that not only did it protect their eyes, they also look smarter any time they wear goggles.
