Kid Update

For years, I’ve prayed for Jon & Becca, “Father – give them the essential skills, commitments and character qualities that they need plus direction for the next step, and a place to live. And, give them the grace to say ‘Goodbye’.” The target date for those prayers has come.

Jon and Becca flew back to the States on June 11.

Jon is staying with Grandma & Grandpa Cook. He will be learning to drive, working odd jobs and preparing for entering a vocational training program.

Becca is working at Bethany Camp this summer. After that she’ll head off to Clarks Summit University. Home base for her is with Mara’s sister and brother-in-law.

Alyssa is continuing her studies in respiratory therapy. At present, she is doing clinicals in Rochester. When she is not at college, she lives with Mara’s parents.

Three kids living with three different relatives. We’re blessed with an incredibly supportive family!

Please pray for Jon & Becca as they transition back to life in the USA and to life without their parents nearby. Reverse cross-cultural stress is a powerful force that often creates significant struggles for third-culture kids like Jon & Becca.
