I ended my last blog post with these words.
We continue to pray for them diligently. And, we resist the temptation to allow the pain of our sadness to keep us from sowing.
I’m glad that I’m sad to see people walk away from the life-giving truth of the gospel. It really is a tragedy! And, I’m glad that I wrote the last line of my last post. It motivated me to continue sowing and expecting a harvest. Immediately after writing it, I closed my laptop, grabbed my jacket and headed out the door. As I descended the staircase, I prayed, “Father – by faith, I’m headed back out my door. I’m going to do a bit of sowing because that honors you. Here we go. Amen.” I left the apartment and headed to a local business in hopes of having a natural opportunity to converse with someone about the important topics of life. Moments later, a man whom I am praying for called my name. He said, “I drove by your new building yesterday. I like the Park Place sign. Is your learning center only for people of your faith or for everyone?” I assured him that we’re there for the good of everyone. He replied, “Great. When you officially open, I want to come practice English with you.”
Maybe this seed will fall on good soil.
