On the way the school, a piece of one of the front tires of the car I borrowed blew off resulting in an immediate flat. God granted me the ability to drive 2 km to rest area. I knew that I needed to get the tire changed quickly because the kids have standardized testing first thing in the morning all this week. Jon and I prayed for God’s help. We found the jack and spare tire (donut #1) and the lug nut key. However, I was unable to pry loose a single lug nut. Jon and I prayed again. Seconds later, an Assistencia van pulled up. The driver helped me change the tire and we were on our way. We arrived at school only 10 minutes late.
Later in the day, I went to a café to meet with my accountability partner. I saw a huge donut sliced in half, filled with whipped cream and topped with a fresh red raspberry. You know it’s going to be good when they serve your donut with a fork and knife! I shouldn’t have eaten it, but I did.
It was a two-donut day.
