Becca’s Blog

It’s a new year now and it’s time to start a new and better plan. I’ve been thinking about our family a lot and how I can get angry easily. Mostly at Jon, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter who. Right now, I just need to solve it. Dad says that God will give me tests to help me learn to respond to things without getting angry. While I don’t think that is fun, I do know that I’m making progress. Well, if you think of it, please stop and pray for me.

  1. Great thing to be working on, and your dad’s advice is right on. If you know that these tests will come, it makes it easier to study for them. See them for what James tells us they are – trials for our benefit. I’ll be praying as the Lord brings you to mind!

  2. Hi Becca! You’ll have no idea who I am but I remember who you are. I’ve been following ya’lls journey through this because well, I love blogs! I just wanted you to know that I admire you’re clearness (and maturity!) of thought on this at this point (age) in your life (keep it up!). You are blessed with wonderful parents who I believe are commited to Jesus Christ. There is nothing else you could ask for sweet Becca girl!

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. ~James 1: 2-4

P.S. I have no doubt you will accomplish this with your commitment to Jesus.

  3. Becca:

I have been praying for your whole family and will pray that God will help you with this. He promises that He gives us a way of escape and I’m sure you will find it. Just being able to write about this struggle is a huge step. I admire your honesty!

When I’m struggling with a sin issue I also remind myself that I don’t want satan to win and when I remember that it makes it easier to choose God’s way.

Keep up the good fight girl!!

  4. Becca, thank you for sharing your struggles! I am also working on some anger/impatience issues – I get impatient & frustrated with my children more than I should! When we are willing to change, God will help us to be more like Him, and I will be praying for you!!!
