The Straw that Broke the Camel’s Back

We’ve been going through one of those stretches where God just keeps allowing more and more tests, stress, obstacles, burdens, concerns, and any number of other “how exactly is this going to work out?” items to the pressures of daily life. It’s great to remember, in the middle of it all, that we don’t need to be concerned about reaching the ‘straw that broke the camel’s back’ point. God promises that He won’t put more in our life than we can handle: along with peace, strength, and even joy. God knows us(Psalm 139) – inside and out – and He is trustworthy. And so, we can say, “It is well with my soul.” (By the way, if you haven’t heard Bluetree’s version of it, it’s worth a listen!)

  1. Wow, what a good point – really appreciated this post, especially with all we’ve got going on with camp now! It was so good to chat with you at camp tonight, Mara – thanks for taking the time to talk! 🙂

  2. Great reminder…thank you! Praying for all the support to keep rolling in…by the way, sorry I have not gotten back to you…Looks like at this point our church is not ready to have anyone come in…pastor says we need to bring giving levels up before we can take on any new mission works…I will be praying for you though and I know God is going to do big things…love the updates and can’t wait to hear you are on the way there!!!
