The last couple of weeks I’ve been really wrestling with what Henry Blackaby would term a ‘crisis of belief. I sat down the other day and watched the film Facing the Giants. I really grabbed a hold of the advice Coach Grant is given when he’s seeking God’s direction and he’s told the story of the two farmers who prayed for rain: while they both prayed, only one farmer got his fields ready to receive the rain. I needed to hear that advice too. So, I am diligently working on preparing my field while I pray for ‘rain.’ While I do it, I keep reciting the line from the end of the movie, “What is impossible for God? Nothing.” God may or may not have a miracle in store for our family, but we are resolved to live our lives in a way that glorifies God.
What a great perspective, and a great reminder! Thanks for sharing!
This simple but profound truth hit me when I read this post…thanks for that!!
