Wherever He entered villages, or cities, or countryside, they were laying the sick in the market places, and imploring Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were being cured. Mark 6:56
They wanted healing. They asked for healing. They got healing. I wonder – what if they had the insight and courage to ask for what they needed the most rather than what was most obvious? Would Jesus have granted that request? It makes me pause to consider what I’m asking God for today. Am I asking him to do/give me what I need the most or am I short-sighted, focused only on what feels most pressing? I don’t want to miss out on what God is willing to do in my life. I need to be careful what I ask for.
