Easter Feast in Porto: Half-Day Event (with lunch)

Easter in Porto: Local Delights, Ancient Traditions

After fasting for 40 days, Easter has arrived and we're famished! Easter is more than just a date on the Portuguese calendar; it's a vibrant celebration of life, treasured recipes, and, most importantly, the warmth of family gatherings. In short: Easter equals one heck of a lunch (and we're eager for you to relish it like a true local).

Curious about our Porto Easter traditions?

We are here to make your trip to Porto flow like the Easter egg hunt - full of surprises, excitement and a rewarding finale. On this experience, you'll discover the must-haves for our Easter table.

Picture this: The finest Portuguese cheeses and meats, meticulously curated and beautifully presented on a charcuterie board. Following tradition, a comforting bowl of soup sets the stage for the feast. Because no meal in this country starts without soup! Then comes the main event: tender, slow-cooked goatling, prepared with all the love and tradition of generations past. All of this is complemented by plenty of good Portuguese wine, not to mention a handful (or two) of sweet almonds. To finish it off: a centuries-old dessert. Can you feel your taste buds tingling? We certainly can!

And of course, no gathering is complete without raising a glass of Port wine in celebration. If this sounds like your idea of heaven, join us for the Portuguese Easter Experience in Porto on March 28th, starting at 11 AM.

Reviews

A great way to become familiar with the Porto food and wine scene. There was some very good food, wine/port samples and the portions were generous. The highlight for me was discussing Anthony Bourdain with the company’s founder (who appeared on Anthony Bourdain’s Porto episode).
